About the course

We are facing a climate emergency, with rapid changes to our climate and environments causing severe impacts on natural ecosystems and threatening the lives of current and future generations.Swansea University's interdisciplinary BSc in Environmental Science and Climate Emergency leverages expertise from Biosciences and Geography to prepare graduates with a deep understanding of environmental and social sciences for effective action on adaptations, mitigations, and solutions. Located near the Gower Peninsula and other outstanding natural areas, the program offers exceptional fieldwork opportunities and emphasizes practical learning through academic, laboratory, and field-based training. Students can personalize their studies with modules in climate change, geography, ecology, conservation, and social justice, culminating in a final-year dissertation. Taught via lectures, seminars, and field classes, assessment includes exams, coursework, practical work, and continuous evaluation. We guarantee conditional offers for eligible applicants—join an Open Day for more information.
