Our BA (Hons) Education with Welsh is a dynamic, research-driven three-year degree designed to equip you with essential knowledge and skills for a fulfilling career in education. It integrates disciplines such as the Welsh language, multiculturalism, psychology, philosophy, and social sciences to explore learning processes, educational structures, and lifelong development. Swansea's Celtic Studies ranks 2nd in the UK for Research Quality and overall (Complete University Guide and Times Good University Guide 2024), while Education is in the top 20 for Research Quality, with 95% of graduates employed or in further activities 15 months post-graduation (HESA 2023). Employability is emphasised through optional placements in schools and organisations, alongside studies in teaching theory, curriculum design, and a compulsory final-year dissertation.In your first year, you'll cover compulsory modules like contemporary education and educational research, followed by options in child development and diversity in later years.
