The Department of Computer Science, home to an EPSRC Doctoral Training Centre for Human-centred AI, is addressing the critical need to prioritize people in AI research and innovation for data-driven technologies. Our globally recognized research and dedication to cultivating exceptional AI professionals have enabled the launch of a new degree programme: Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.This programme delivers foundational Computer Science (CS) principles with a strong emphasis on advanced AI and its applications. In the first year, students will establish core skills in programming, mathematics, logic, and a dedicated data science module, preparing them for human-centred AI development.
