This degree combines Philosophy (75% of the course) with International Relations (25%), emphasizing Philosophy as the core while incorporating international relations studies. Our Department of Politics, International Relations and Philosophy is dedicated to cutting-edge research that informs teaching, allowing students to learn from renowned experts and develop essential career skills. We adopt a unique interdisciplinary approach, bridging Anglo-American analytic and European traditions to explore epistemology, metaphysics, ethics, political philosophy, and historical perspectives.International relations studies draw from economics, history, philosophy, and sociology, providing in-depth insights into global politics, state interactions, and contemporary issues. Students will examine philosophical debates in globalized systems, key ideologies, worldwide governance, and party politics, while honing research and presentation skills. Assessment includes lectures, seminars, tutorials, and diverse methods like essays, exams, reports, and oral presentations, with ongoing feedback.
