Business Management, BSc (Hons), with industry placement

Ahead of the 2023/24 academic year, we are reviewing this course to optimise the student experience, with any significant changes communicated promptly. This programme emphasises real-world business management, delivered by lecturers experienced in domestic and international contexts, supported by strong industry networks. Graduates have secured roles at renowned companies such as Mitsubishi Motors, Unilever, Harrods, and Weatherbys. Students benefit from a free study tour to Europe—previous destinations include Spain and Germany—along with networking opportunities at careers fairs and access to our Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Programme. Upon completion, graduates receive the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 6 Diploma in Management and Leadership, with one year of free CMI membership.The course integrates employability standards into every module, developed in collaboration with employers, and features diverse learning methods including lectures, seminars, and case studies. Assessments comprise exams, essays, reports, presentations, and group work, culminating in a third-year research project on a topic of personal or professional interest. A 12-month work placement provides hands-on experience in relevant industries, enhancing skills, confidence, and career prospects with prestigious global employers. Modules are evaluated through a mix of examinations and coursework, such as real-life case studies, and the programme is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute for industry recognition.
