About the course

A vertical double degree means you will graduate with a bachelor degree and master degree within five years, fast-tracking your ability to lead and contribute to complex data projects.  All domestic students who enter the bachelor component of the vertical double in 2024 and 2025 will receive a Commonwealth Support Place (CSP) for the master component.  Your degree begins with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at QUT, where you will choose from nine majors within the undergraduate component:  Once you progress into the master component of this course, you will choose from three majors, with an additional 'no major' option:
  • computational data science
  • statistical data science
  • biomedical data science
  • information systems analytics.

  • Chemical and Sustainable Process
  • Civil
  • Computer and Software Systems

  • Mechatronics
  • Medical
Once you progress into the master component of this course, you will choose from three majors, with an additional 'No Major' option:
  • Computational Data Science
  • Statistical Data Science
  • Biomedical Data Science
  • Information Systems Analytics 

Work Integrated Learning

During this course you are required to complete 60 days (equivalent to 450 hours) of approved work experience for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) component.
