This advanced-entry, two-year course at Queen Margaret University builds on its esteemed performing arts heritage to equip students with the skills for contemporary acting careers in theatre and film. Open to those with an HND in Acting and Performance or equivalent, it offers a balanced 50:50 split between stage and screen training, alongside options in areas like playwriting and directing. Students benefit from expert staff, industry engagement, and a holistic curriculum that enhances acting techniques, voice, movement, and creative entrepreneurship, preparing graduates for diverse professional opportunities.In years three and four, modules include Advanced Acting: Skills, Text and Techniques, Screen and Media, Audition and Showcase, Honours Performance Project, and elective options such as Directing Shakespeare or Devised Physical Theatre. Assessment involves workshops, performances, portfolios, and vivas, with opportunities for student-led projects and industry showcases. Note that this course does not confer Qualified Teacher Status.
