Starting in September 2024, the School of Arts and Humanities, including this History with Politics course, will relocate to our City Campus. The curriculum remains unchanged, and applicants should have received an email outlining any potential impacts. This program explores historical and political events shaping modern society, from the war in Afghanistan to the European Union, demanding passion, intellectual curiosity, and independent learning. Students will study diverse peoples, nations, and ideas across periods from medieval to contemporary history in regions like Britain, Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Far East.The course builds key skills through modules on political thought and ideologies. Year One focuses on foundational historical practices and introductory politics; Year Two offers customizable pathways with options for travel or specialization; and Year Three emphasizes advanced research projects with expert guidance. Assessments include essays, presentations, digital projects, and reports, designed to enhance employability, digital skills, and problem-solving throughout the degree.
