Starting in September 2024, the School of Arts and Humanities, including this joint honours course in History and Communication & Society, will relocate to our City Campus. The course content will remain unchanged, and applicants should have received an email detailing any potential impacts.This degree explores diverse peoples, nations, and ideas across history from medieval times to the present, spanning Britain, the Americas, Asia, and the Far East. Combined with Communication & Society, it examines societal transformations through historical and philosophical lenses. At NTU, the curriculum covers periods from AD 700 onward, with specialist modules on topics like the Crusades and Nazi Germany. It emphasizes practical skills in communication, including non-verbal and media forms, delivered via lectures, tutorials, and workshops. Graduates develop employability attributes, with 94% of students recommending the program (NSS 2020) and 92% in work or study shortly after (DLHE 2016/17).
