This ARB-prescribed and RIBA-validated course fosters a creative, project-based approach to architecture, enabling students to cultivate their unique design style. It explores diverse elements such as sustainable and urban design, alongside business practices, equipping learners with essential skills to address modern built-environment challenges. Through collaborative studio culture, students experiment with ideas and master creative communication via drawing, model-making, and 3D visualisation in state-of-the-art facilities.Key features include an accredited route towards RIBA Part 1 qualification, access to advanced creative spaces with professional equipment, real-world briefs from clients like RIBA East Midlands, and opportunities for exhibitions, degree shows, and mentoring with firms such as Leonard Design Architects. The course boasts strong rankings, including first for undergraduate architecture student numbers (HESA 2021/22) and joint sixth for graduate prospects (Complete University Guide 2024). Modules cover topics like Design Studio and Architecture in Context, with assessment primarily through coursework, including projects and portfolios.
