Our CISI-recognised BSc (Hons) in Finance and Investment Management provides a comprehensive understanding of financial markets and the broader business environment, preparing students for rewarding careers in the industry. The curriculum focuses on employability through key modules like Careers in Accounting, Economics and Finance, and Professional Practice, which build practical skills for real-world application.Students apply their knowledge in an on-site trading room equipped with Bloomberg terminals for live market simulations. An optional year-long work placement between the second and final years offers hands-on experience with organisations such as the Royal Bank of Scotland or the Bank of England. The course achieved a 90% satisfaction rating in the National Student Survey 2020, with graduates employed at prominent firms like Bloomberg, Deloitte, and Brewin Dolphin. The university is seeking accreditation from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), subject to approval.
