Commerce is an integral part of society. The Bachelor of Commerce explores how our desire to trade what we have for what we want has shaped how people and nations have interacted for millennia, and how global trade and digital disruption are fundamentally changing commerce in society.
Actuarial studies gives you the skills to identify, analyse and quantify risk, using mathematical, econometric and financial models. This major gives you the skills to pursue a career across a range of fields including life, general or health insurance, superannuation, financial consulting, investment operations, government-related jobs, long-term strategic planning with large companies and in the broader fields of risk management, banking and data analysis. You will learn forecasting and econometric modelling tools and develop the technical skills to apply these tools to a wide range of business settings across the public and private sector. Subject to unit choices, you may meet some of the requirements of the Actuaries Institute Foundation Program professional qualification.
