An Actuarial Science degree prepares you to evaluate risk and opportunity in a business setting, and use your findings to influence some of society’s most important economic structures. Actuarial science will prepare you to provide professional actuarial advice in Australia and other countries.

What you will learn

This specialisation prepares you for an actuarial career. To give actuarial advice in most developed countries, you must become a Fellow of the actuarial profession. This requires gaining technical skills, general application skills, specialist knowledge, and years of work experience.The course enables completion of the Foundation Program of the Actuaries Institute professional qualification including actuarial statistics, risk modelling and survival analysis, actuarial mathematics for modelling, economic modelling, business finance and business economics.
