Fine Art, BA (Hons)

The BA (Hons) Fine Art is a studio-based programme that equips students to enter the professional art world confidently. Taught by active contemporary artists, it encourages exploration of universal practices, broader social, political, and community contexts, and personal methodologies to foster post-graduation development. Diverse teaching, facilities, and opportunities enable skill acquisition for specialisation in painting/print media or sculpture/time-based art, or a pluralistic approach, cultivating a distinctive student cohort engaged in studio practice and external projects.Students access international exchanges, study trips, foreign language skills, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and gallery talks. Globally ranked in the top 100 for art and design (QS World Rankings 2024), the course emphasises studio production and cultural exploration, including Year 2 exchanges and national/international visits.
