Our BSc Physics degree provides exceptional flexibility, enabling students to adapt their studies to evolving interests. It integrates core physics and astrophysics with a range of optional modules that draw on Loughborough’s research strengths, including quantum physics, modern optics, condensed matter, materials physics, statistical physics, and medical physics.In contrast, MPhys programmes offer a competitive edge in the job market through advanced content and an extended research project, fostering deep exploration and potential contributions to knowledge. They highlight commitment and specialized skills, fully meeting requirements for Chartered Physicist and Chartered Scientist, whereas BSc only partially satisfies these. Assessment typically combines coursework and exams, with tasks like essays, projects, and presentations.
