Our MSci (Hons) in Computer Science and Mathematics integrates mathematical and computational techniques to address real-world challenges, providing students with essential skills in both disciplines and their intersections. This program offers a strong foundation for careers bridging computing and mathematics, as well as opportunities in fields typically available to single-honours graduates. The curriculum balances topics from both areas, with the first two years focusing on core mathematics for business, industry, and academia—emphasizing computational methods—and core computer science with a mathematical focus. In the third year, students undertake a project combining both subjects and select specialized optional modules. The MSci differs from the BSc by including an additional year dedicated to entrepreneurship, advanced mathematical modelling, and a substantial research project under academic supervision, preparing graduates for research roles, industry development, or PhD studies. The BSc emphasizes foundational skills for diverse industries, while the MSci fosters leadership through in-depth, cutting-edge research experience.
