Forensic Science, BSc (Hons)

Kingston University offers a highly regarded Forensic Science course, accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences (CSFS) with renewal planned for 2025. It ranks first in London per the Complete University Guide 2025 and New Scientist Careers Guide 2024, and in the top 10 nationally according to the Guardian University Guide 2025. The program has earned four CSFS commendations for innovative technology and training, alongside a Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold rating for outstanding teaching and student outcomes.This course equips students for forensic careers through practical training in crime scene processing, DNA profiling, toxicology, and more, including specialist topics like blood pattern analysis and ballistics. Graduates can apply for CSFS Associate status and receive free certificates in key areas. It also integrates future skills such as problem-solving and adaptability, preparing students for roles in forensic labs, policing, and beyond, with assessments via exams, reports, and presentations. The course is under revalidation to enhance industry-aligned learning.
