Kingston University's Economics department is diverse, inclusive, and friendly, offering a variety of study approaches. Its flexible structure allows transfer between three Economics courses after the first year. The programme equips learners with essential skills, theories, and methods for employment, regardless of background, and has earned a Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold rating across all categories.This pluralistic course explores diverse economic theories, decision-making by businesses, individuals, and governments, and real-world applications, including business finance. Using industry-standard IT and statistical software, students develop highly valued analytical, numerical, data, and problem-solving skills. Embedded Future Skills foster adaptability and digital competency. Graduates pursue roles as economists in regulatory bodies, the Civil Service, Bank of England, City of London firms, or as managers/consultants at multinationals, with many advancing to postgraduate study.
