This course, delivered by lecturers with extensive industry and research experience, equips you to adapt to the dynamic music and creative industries, fostering employability and flexibility.It supports pathways tailored to your interests in performance, composition, production, education, management, or research. You will build creative and scholarly skills, using music as the primary medium for exploration across genres like Classical, Jazz, Contemporary Commercial, Avant-Garde, and Popular styles including Hip Hop and Electronic Music. Through practical and contextual studies, you will enhance critical, analytical, and performance abilities in solo or ensemble settings, with opportunities for orchestration and composition via collaborative projects. Modules also prepare you for education and community music roles, and we offer a rare undergraduate module in Music Therapy.
