The history component provides an extensive exploration of periods from the end of the Roman Empire to the present, with options to include a placement year or study abroad, extending the degree to four years.In the first year, students engage in introductory modules for both subjects, such as Introduction to Drama and The Atlantic Archipelago. The second year delves into various literary and historical periods, while the third year features a dissertation and elective modules. Assessment typically involves essays and end-of-year exams, culminating in a major research project.
