About the course

The MSc in Adult Nursing is tailored for graduates seeking career advancement through a fulfilling profession in nursing. This programme equips students to care for adults across all ages facing injuries, accidents, diseases, or diverse healthcare needs. It builds essential knowledge, skills, and expertise in hospital medicine, surgery, community care, and specialised areas, fostering clinical decision-making, compassion, and dedication. The curriculum integrates theoretical learning with practical experience at leading London hospitals and community settings, supported by advanced simulation facilities.The programme features three progressive stages, emphasising increasing self-directed study, culminating in a dissertation. Core modules include Foundations for Evidence Informed Nursing Knowledge and Care, Integration of Care for Acute and Long-Term Needs, and Principles of Prescribing. Assessments encompass research proposals, examinations, presentations, care studies, critical reflections, and a dissertation, alongside pass/fail clinical practice evaluations.

What you will learn

The course has three programme stages, which must be successfully completed in order to progress to the next programme stage. The modular structure of the programme is developmental and students are expected to demonstrate increasing levels of self-directed independent study as the programme progresses. You will also complete a dissertation. Core modules:

  • Leading and Managing Across Health and Social Care (15 credits)
