The Graduate Entry LLB is an accelerated two-year law degree designed for individuals holding a minimum 2:2 degree in another field, allowing them to obtain a qualifying law qualification. It offers two pathways: a standard two-year full-time programme or a three-year option that includes a one-year professional placement in a legal setting between the first and second years, providing practical experience. From 1 September 2021, the route to qualifying as a solicitor requires a degree and passing the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) Parts 1 and 2. All Brunel LLB programmes cover essential legal subjects, and for students who started or committed by 21 September 2021, a transitional period allows choice between the traditional QLD route or the SQE route. This Brunel LLB qualifies as a QLD and meets barrister requirements by addressing foundational legal knowledge. Combined with prior degree skills, it prepares graduates for successful legal careers. Typical modules include Public Law and Legal Skills, Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Systems, Contract Law and Civil Justice Systems, and Academic and Professional Development (30 credits).
