Our Civil Engineering MEng degree is an innovative programme designed to provide a comprehensive education in engineering principles and management skills, addressing the demands of the construction industry. Students explore core topics such as structures, materials, fluids, hydraulics, geotechnics, and mathematics, advancing to specialised areas like structural analysis, sustainable project management, and structural design. The course offers access to state-of-the-art facilities, including laboratories for fluids, hydraulics, structures, materials, and geotechnics, along with industry-standard software. Practical experiences include residential field trips for surveying and geology, guest lectures from professionals, and visits to construction sites.Accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators, which includes key institutions like the Institution of Civil Engineers, this four- or five-year programme meets the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. We strongly recommend the placement year, providing hands-on industry experience with contractors, consultants, or government bodies. Additionally, events like Brunel Engineers allow students to showcase their innovative work and network with industry experts.
