Business Computing, BSc (Hons)

The BSc Business Computing degree offers a challenging blend of theoretical and practical training, equipping you with hands-on skills to design adaptive information systems that drive business efficiency. Modules cover software fundamentals, algorithms, system architectures, development methodologies—from requirements capture and design to implementation, testing, and maintenance—alongside project management and problem-solving in teams or individually. You will master notations for clear communication of requirements, designs, and solutions.Flexible pathways allow module selection, transfers from Computer Science up to Year 2, and specialisms by Year 3. One-third of each year is project-based, culminating in an individual final-year project showcased at the Made in Brunel event. A optional year-long placement enhances employability, with graduates joining firms like Accenture and Microsoft. Accredited by the British Computer Society for CITP registration, the programme holds Athena SWAN Bronze status, supporting women through mentoring.
