About the course

Our four-year undergraduate Nursing – Dual Award programme provides practical experience in two nursing fields, while developing leadership skills through research-informed approaches, enabling registration as a nurse in both areas. This integrated MSci runs alongside our BSc (Hons) Nursing course, where you will study with peers from fields such as Adult, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, and Child Nursing, with tailored support to achieve Level 7 outcomes in year four. Involving placements in various hospital and clinical settings across the West Midlands, the programme is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), allowing you to apply for dual Registered Nurse status upon completion. You will also earn 120 Level 7 credits, applicable toward a future Master's, with 'dual award' signifying eligibility for NMC dual registration.
