Education plays a pivotal role in societal development, and our BA (Hons) Education Studies program examines both theoretical and practical elements of education from birth through lifelong learning, drawing on diverse perspectives. Students critically analyze the aims, values, principles, and policies of the UK education system alongside global counterparts, integrating insights from disciplines such as psychology, sociology, law, history, philosophy, and politics to address key issues and debates.Central to the course are four themes: promoting education as a force for social justice, equity, and inclusion; exploring its role in a globalized world; examining technology's impact on educational practices; and enhancing employability through skill development. Participants will develop their own educational philosophies, engage with international influences, gain hands-on experience via a second-year placement, and thrive in a supportive environment that fosters independence, creativity, and lifelong learning.
