About the course

Our joint honours programme in Music Production and Music Business is designed for aspiring producers and entrepreneurs seeking to master both the creative and technical aspects of music creation and industry management. Students will acquire essential skills in studio recording, Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) usage, and commercial business practices through practical classes, workshops, and seminars led by active industry professionals. Personalised one-to-one tutorials ensure tailored learning to suit individual interests and needs, while core modules cover topics such as studio engineering, acoustic theory, and professional briefs.As the programme advances, students can select optional modules in Years 2 and 3 to specialise in areas like performance skills or business enterprise, preparing for careers in recording, live music, film, TV, audio post-production, or education. Graduates are equipped with attributes including employability, creativity, resilience, and global awareness. Assessment includes practical exams, written coursework, and collaborative projects, fostering skills relevant to the dynamic music industry.
