What you will learn

The major in Capital Markets is concerned with applying the basic concepts introduced in the core finance course (FINM1001 Foundations of Finance) to study the financial decisions facing the firm; investment decisions and portfolio management; derivatives and risk management; portfolio construction; corporate valuation; and debt markets. The aim of the major in Capital Markets is to develop skills and competencies in students that will enable them to embark upon a professional career in the fields of corporate financial management, financial consulting and planning, funds management, investment banking and stockbroking.
