Social Work, BSW

Students may declare social work as their major during freshman or sophomore year, or upon transferring from another institution. All applicants must complete a formal process through the undergraduate social work program office in the School of Social Work. Those already enrolled should apply before their junior year, while transfer students must first seek admission to Adelphi University and indicate their interest in the School.Social work courses typically begin in the junior year and form part of the required curriculum for the Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W.). To earn the B.S.W., students must complete 120 credits, meeting the specified requirements.
