Our Bachelor of Veterinary Technology offers a clinically oriented curriculum with access to a state-of-the-art, $37 million veterinary health centre. Students develop advanced expertise in nursing care for a wide range of animals, including cats, dogs, horses, farm animals, wildlife, and exotic pets.Through practical work placements, participants gain hands-on experience in veterinary nursing and technology, while collaborating with animal scientists, behaviourists, and veterinarians to foster a supportive professional network. The program covers comprehensive topics such as animal health pathology, pain management, nutrition, dentistry, pharmacology, and the use of anaesthetic, radiography, and dental equipment. It also addresses animal diseases, including zoonotic threats, and the One Health concept, preparing graduates for rewarding careers in veterinary practices, hospitals, breeding farms, zoos, and shelters.
