Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), established in 1885 as a specialist institution, is one of only fifteen higher education institutions in the UK devoted solely to the study of art, design and media.
The University has been providing specialist education for over a century and enjoys a strong reputation, both nationally and internationally. It was named No.1 Creative University in the Which? University 2012 survey. and in the same year also celebrated a 97.7% employment rate.
The university now operates eight Skillset accredited courses in Animation Production, Film Production, Digital Media Production, Photography, Commercial Photography, Makeup for Media and Performance, Graphic Design and Modelmaking.
Students are based within one campus which is located in Wallisdown, Poole. The campus houses specialist workshops and workspaces, as well as a purpose-built library supplies material to support the courses taught. The university also boasts a contemporary arts gallery, and also the Enterprise Pavilion which provides business incubation units for graduates from the university and other higher education providers.
