The purposeful planning, construction and maintenance of these infrastructure is central to the field of surveying and planning.
Planning and development surveyors identify opportunities for the development in a strategic and sustainable way. They often ask questions such as “how should this plot of land be used, and what impact will development of a certain kind have?” Quantity Surveyors on the other hand ensures that developments are completed on time and within budget.
