Hotels are microcosms of the hospitality and tourism industry and can provide insight as to how people and services come together to design and provide leisure-based experiences for consumers. For example, the general manager, public relations team, food and beverage managers, housekeepers, concierge services and security personnel are all in the business of hospitality management.
In Hospitality and Tourism degree programmes, you will be groomed in the areas of economics, marketing, business operations, accounting and foundational law; after which you can choose to specialise in areas such as Hotel Management, Travel and Tourism, Conventions and Exhibitions, and Food and Beverage Industry Management.
