Mechatronics and Robotic Systems, BEng (Hons)

Mechatronics and robotic systems represent emerging engineering disciplines applicable across all societal sectors. Examples include remotely operated vehicles on Mars, programmable washing machines, and automated manufacturing robots—mechanical products reliant on electronics and computer controls.The BEng Mechatronics and Robotic Systems is a cutting-edge programme equipping students with skills in mechanical engineering, electronics, electrical engineering, control systems, scientific computing, and artificial intelligence to design, integrate, and test complete mechatronic systems. At XJTLU, study in advanced laboratories with development kits for projects like autonomous cars, bionic robots, and quadcopters; master industrial software and hardware; gain experience through field trips, site visits, and internships in Yangtze River Delta robotics firms; and earn dual degrees from XJTLU (Chinese Ministry of Education) and the University of Liverpool (Russell Group).
