Environmental science, an interdisciplinary field encompassing chemistry, geography, mathematics, and humanities, equips you to promote global biodiversity conservation and provide technical and policy support for environmental challenges, fostering harmonious human-nature coexistence. You will apply problem-solving skills to pressing global issues, gain field expertise through international trips to coastal and mountain regions—learning surveying and stakeholder interviews—and adopt a hands-on approach to environmental processes across local to global scales.Research-led teaching addresses biodiversity loss, climate change, and chemical cycle disruptions, while insights from industry leaders and NGOs illuminate decision-making and management. Benefit from state-of-the-art laboratories (20 million RMB investment) for advanced techniques and GIS analysis. Earn dual degrees: one from XJTLU (recognized by China’s Ministry of Education) and one from the University of Liverpool (Russell Group).
