Electrical Engineering, BEng (Hons)

The BEng Electrical Engineering programme introduces fundamentals such as conventional and renewable power generation, transmission, distribution, electromechanical devices, protection, and management, alongside essential electronics and algorithms for applications from gadgets to power systems. Amid rising demands from digital lifestyles, electrified transport, renewables, and AI infrastructure, the curriculum extends beyond classics: Year Two covers electrical and electronics principles; Year Three delves into energy conversion, electromechanical systems, power systems, digital/power electronics, and integrated circuits; Year Four offers advanced topics like microelectronics and smart grids.Study at XJTLU for its 2+2 route to University of Liverpool's (UoL) BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering—UoL, a Russell Group member. Both 4+0 (XJTLU EE degree) and 2+2 (UoL EEE degree) paths award dual degrees recognised globally. IET-accredited, it features world-trained staff, summer research, advanced labs with 150 workstations, field visits, and internships at firms like Littelfuse and REenergy Electric.
