Each semester, the program is enhanced with lecture-based modules spanning architectural theory, philosophy of arts, materials, construction, environmental design, urban studies, and professional practice. Unlike other programs, the curriculum equally integrates the history of Asian and Western architecture, affording both equal importance.This Bachelor of Architecture is the first at a Chinese university to gain validation from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). In their most recent accreditation report, the RIBA board praised the department's ambitious vision, staff dedication, exceptional workshop facilities, studios, resources, and the diversity of design briefs. Previous assessments commended the program for fostering a distinctive learning environment that combines international and Chinese contexts, aims to produce graduates emphasizing human-centered architecture for a global era, and promotes an innovative model challenging traditional Western and Chinese paradigms in architecture and design.
