The programme is designed for those interested in studying English as a subject matter in its own right. You will learn about the many ways in which English, and more broadly, languages are used around the world today. In addition to being in a stimulating environment where you can develop your intellectual faculties, the programme also provides ample opportunity for you to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting. This is done, for instance, through the practice of translation and interpreting.You will acquire a range of skills not only suitable for language teaching, translation and interpreting, and editing, but transferable in many settings across any sector that requires the ability to identify real-world problems in an innovative manner and effectively communicate solutions.
