About the course

In our early-childhood degree, you will engage in units focused on children from birth to five years, learning how teaching in early-childhood and kindergarten settings actively involves children and families in the learning process. Graduates will emerge with expertise in social justice, developed through hands-on experiences and critical theoretical perspectives.Key areas of study include child development, teaching practices incorporating Aboriginal perspectives, curriculum focused on relationships and meaning, advocacy in early-childhood environments, the history and philosophy of early childhood, and ethical professional practices. Domestic students may complete their first year at Werribee Campus before transferring to Footscray Park Campus, while international students undertake the entire course at Footscray Park Campus.
