Product Design, BA (Hons)

The BA (Hons) Product Design programme fosters creativity by equipping students with the tools to enhance everyday products through innovative design. It emphasizes developing an empathetic understanding of user needs, alongside expertise in form, ergonomics, and materials. Guided by experienced tutors, students engage in practical projects within a state-of-the-art Design Studio, building advanced skills in concept sketching, 3D modelling, communication, model making, computer-aided design (CAD), and design business principles.Students collaborate on real-world briefs from industry partners such as Jaguar Land Rover and Bosch, participate in exhibitions, and expand their professional networks. Graduates emerge prepared for careers in service design, graphic design, brand consultancy, user experience, retail design, research, marketing, or packaging, with many opting to launch their own ventures or work as freelance consultants. The course is accredited by the Institution of Engineering Designers, ensuring recognized professional standards.
