The history program primarily focuses on early modern and modern periods, with one or two modules on the late medieval era. It covers British, European, American, African, economic, international, imperial, and gender history, alongside interdisciplinary options in areas like English, media and cultural studies, drama, and film studies. We offer teaching in Medieval, Early Modern, Modern, and Contemporary History, including British, Irish, European, American, African, International, Imperial, Social, Political, and Economic History. Students are encouraged to tailor their modules in the second and third years, such as specializing in Medieval and Early Modern or Early Modern and Modern History. Faculty research directly informs the curriculum.The program is professionally accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management, providing industry-wide recognition of qualification quality.
