The MEng in Civil Engineering covers core subjects such as structures, materials, and geotechnics, along with specialized topics including hydrology, transport engineering, geology, and surveying. Students benefit from instruction by a dedicated, diverse faculty with combined industry and academic experience, as well as access to modern, well-equipped laboratories and industry-standard technologies. Practical learning occurs through projects addressing real-world issues, offering insights into career challenges. In the group design project, participants develop skills in presenting interdisciplinary solutions to simulated clients, and an optional placement year with partner employers allows for enhanced professional development.The program is professionally accredited, providing industry-wide recognition of qualification quality through bodies such as the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation, the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institute of Highway Engineers, and the Engineering Council.
