This course applies mathematics to address real-world economic challenges, equipping students with strong foundational maths skills and a deep understanding of economic concepts. Taught by leading mathematicians and renowned economists, the curriculum integrates their cutting-edge research, covering core areas like pure and applied mathematics, differential equations, mathematical modelling, probability, behavioural economics, and global policy. Students develop analytical skills using tools such as MATLAB, Python, and R, with a strong emphasis on employability through career coaching and industry engagement.The programme meets the educational requirements for Chartered Mathematician accreditation from the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, subject to further professional experience. It is available as a three-year BSc or four-year MMath.
