This course is at least one-quarter music and more than one-half mathematics. It includes a wide range of mathematics modules in topics such as algebra, analysis, geometry, mathematical biology, fluid mechanics and statistics.These modules provide an in-depth overview of modern mathematics, and you’ll receive a thorough grounding in the main mathematical theories and techniques, equipping you for a variety of rewarding careers.You’ll also be able to mix and match performance and composition modules in Years 1 and 2. Composers will explore a wide range of contemporary repertoire and learn to interact confidently with performers of their music, while performers will be able to take advantage of opportunities within the University’s arts and music scene.
