Why choose this courseInternational relations is about the distribution of power in the international political system.Our innovative BSc (Hons) International Relations course focuses on the ways that the international political system is organised. We will introduce you to elements of conflict and peacebuilding, discussions around globalisation, international cooperation and foreign policymaking.Our course has a truly international outlook, and will introduce you to a variety of social and political issues behind the biggest current debates in international affairs.What you will studyOn our BSc (Hons) International Relations course, you’ll receive a full grounding in the discipline as a whole. You’ll also explore national, regional and transnational trends through international relations theories, and the analysis of a wide range of case studies.You’ll be able to examine questions of great significance on the global political stage. These include international security, foreign policy, globalisation, environmental policy and international governance.You will have the opportunity to engage in primary research on a topic of your choice, if you opt to write a dissertation in your final year. This will give you rich insights into aspects of international politics and public affairs, in addition to enhanced research and presentation skills.
