About the course

This course fosters awareness of legal principles and their implications for business operations, a skill highly valued by employers. Students can utilise the exceptional Andersonian Library, which provides extensive resources including law reports, legislation, and monographs. It allows progression to an LLB (Graduate Entry) following a joint Honours degree in Law and another subject, while exploring societal obligations, rights, and the social-economic challenges in Scotland within a global context. Ranked in the top 10 in the UK for Law and first in Scotland for Social Policy (The Times/Sunday Times University Ranking 2024), the programme is part of a flexible BA in Humanities and Social Sciences, where students select from various subjects, with options for a three-year BA or four-year Honours degree to broaden knowledge and employability.Applicants should submit only one UCAS code, enabling study of any subject combination as outlined in the prospectus. The course includes opportunities for credit-bearing work placements in the third or fourth year to gain professional experience. Note that it does not award Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for teaching in state schools in England or Wales.
