This program provides access to innovative practices and research throughout your secondary teaching journey.Our innovative professional education model allows ample time for development as a secondary school teacher. Over the four-year degree, you will build confidence, critically evaluate your abilities, and enjoy a more tailored learning experience compared to the one-year Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). Graduates receive a research-informed qualification, preparing them for immediate entry into secondary education. In the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF), our education research ranked third in Scotland for output quality, with 100% of impact and environment rated as world-leading or internationally excellent. We also offer chemistry and physics teaching courses in partnership with Forth Valley College.
