About the course

Mental health nursing is a demanding yet fulfilling profession that enables practitioners to make a meaningful impact on individuals' lives. Our innovative Mental Health Nursing program equips students to address contemporary challenges, delivering high-quality care and preparing them to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and join healthcare teams upon graduation. The curriculum draws from the latest research, promoting an evidence-based approach that respects individual value and incorporates insights from those with lived mental health experiences. This fosters development as reflective, resilient, and socially aware nurses for diverse settings. Students receive support from a personal tutor, Practice Assessor, and Practice Supervisor. In partnership with NHS Forth Valley, we ensure clinical excellence and inspiring learning, with accreditation from the NMC.
