About the course

This course prepares aspiring chartered accountants and financial officers with essential skills for their careers, while serving as a strong foundation for postgraduate research. It provides a comprehensive grounding in core accounting areas such as taxation, financial accounting, auditing, and corporate governance, alongside contemporary topics like fintech regulation and cryptocurrency. Emphasising employability, the program uses real-world examples to explore accounting's role in decision-making and develops research skills through an in-depth term paper. Students benefit from exemptions on professional exams, enabling a faster career start, as well as robust support from industry-experienced staff.The curriculum spans three years, covering modules like Introduction to Financial Accounting in Year One, Financial Reporting and Fintech in Year Two, and Advanced Financial Reporting with Auditing in Year Three. Assessment includes examinations, coursework, portfolios, in-class tests, and presentations. Upon completion, graduates receive a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance.
