Zoology addresses critical planetary challenges, such as the impacts of global warming on animal populations, ecological dynamics, and endangered species conservation. This four-year integrated master's program, housed in a state-of-the-art Life Sciences building, explores animal life from cellular levels to ecosystems, covering topics like evolution, conservation, and behavior through diverse modules. Students benefit from expert instruction, final-year research projects with organizations like Marwell, and field trips in the UK, Spain, and Belize, preparing them for careers in research, conservation, and animal management, with 99% of graduates employed or in further study shortly after completion.The curriculum offers a range of modules across years, including Chemistry of Life and Animal Behaviour in Year 1 and 2, Biodiversity and Conservation in Year 3, and Advanced Field Research in Year 4, allowing customization to individual interests. Assessment involves lectures, tutorials, coursework, projects, and exams, equipping students with essential skills for professional success.
